What is The MABLE Movement?
Mable stands for Making You Able. MABLE is a movement that is intended to increase mobility and function through gentle exercises that include balance, strength, and mobility. We are an online based program that people can complete from the comfort of their own home.
Who is the Program for?
The Mable Movement is designed for individuals that have, over time, become sedentary due to any number of reasons. Whether it is age, injury, lack of motivation, or obesity. It is never too late to start moving again!
How does MABLE work?
Our goal is to get those sedentary individuals up and moving utilizing simple equipment such as resistance bands, small dumbbells, and living room furniture. Each video will include a client and a trainer so that you can follow along in your home. You will receive trainer cues and feel like you are part of a one on one session. No pressure, no judgement!
Why did you start The MABLE Movement?
Our many years of experience in the health and fitness industry has brought us to the understanding that there are a large number of people in our society that either do not have access to a gym or are merely not comfortable going. Our idea of helping our close family and friends move more grew into a desire to help an entire population feel COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT when it comes to exercise.
How is this different from other programs?
We are interested in ONLY those that feel like they need something slower paced. This is not intended to be high intensity. We want low intensity movements, ample recovery time, and basic functional exercises that are needed for daily living. We will have training components such as strength, flexibility, and balance.
